ALBAKAYA was created by exporter Barbara Hauge Laghjichi, a Danish woman living in Casablanca since 1995. She was joined by Eva Lemhouer from Sweden who shares her passion for Moroccan handicraft.

Since 2000 ALBAKAYA has selected some of the best craftsmen from all over Morocco. They are specialists in traditional Moroccan handicraft, and they work according to strict quality requirements
that are demanded in importing countries.

At ALBAKAYA we want to pass on our passion for Moroccan handicraft to our clients. That’s why we put our clients in focus and strive to make it as easy as possible for them when importing from Morocco. From the day we receive an order we take care of everything until we send the complete order by shipping, truck or as cargo.

ALBAKAYA is also a perfect fusion between Moroccan artisan know-how and our Scandinavian rigour. This means that every unique object in our unlimited range of products, has passed through our rigorous inspection,
before being sent to the customer.
